~ A Summer State of Mind ~

~ A Summer State of Mind ~

Cousins
a summer visit
running for fun
be one with the wind
because they can
no schedule, no school, no worries
 time flies
a cloak of freedom
simplicity of want
country life
a standing barn
a fork in the road
wide open places
captured by childhood
in a summer state of mind

I love that Emerson quote at the top. Beautiful. This blog is so much fun and loveliness.

I am very excited for you. I am also very excited for those of us that get to visit here and read your offerings.

A summer State of Mind is gorgeous. It has taken me into Ivy's head. (That's where she is right now.) She and her cousins actually raced this past week here at our farm. (They can't walk when together.) :) We went to sliding rock (A wonderful place to take kids. A huge rock covered in mountain water that you slide down and end up in eight feet of freezing water.) and they had a blast.

So thank you for this excellent, charming look into summer and cousins and untroubled, happy-go-lucky lives. :)

Love beginnings, and yours is no exception. A fork in the road and wide open spaces, not just for the children but for us as well. These blogs, theses spaces for our thoughts and words, shared across miles and days, isn't this a great planet?
